About Project
With 20 subsidiaries, 8 languages, and 5200 employees, managing communication in a global technology group is a massive challenge. In order to create a standardized digital platform that increases collaboration among all internal and external users, the organization needed an open, flexible, and user-friendly solution that has easy login, personalization, and decentralized maintenance.
Business Requirements
  • The Portal should have a public site for customers and an intranet for employees
  • The Portal should have a single sign-on feature so that employees can log in to the intranet using the usual PC password.

  • There should be separate sites for each geographic region: –
    • Content publisher will publish content under geographical region site.
    • Geographical region site’s default language should be selected when the user navigates to a particular region site.
    • Each region site should have different home page containing banner, news, success stories, products and many more
  • CSV Import capabilities need to develop so that products and applications can be imported to the portal.
  • Job & Career related features needs to be developed
    • Content publisher can publish the job. Workflow should be implemented on the Job Publish process.
    • Candidates can view jobs and apply for them. Workflow should be there which should be activated after the candidate applies for the job
  • Contact US form needs to be developed which pass right context to admin when user submit the form.
  • Product list and detail pages needs to developed.
  • Success story list and detail page needs to developed.
Key Features
  • The single sign on functionality that portal has implemented proved to be a key feature of the new platform. Every user can now login with his or her usual PC password, and smaller companies that lack a central IT team can register with user accounts. All profile and contact data is saved separately. This way, Portal has access to an accurate contact directory of all employees worldwide.
  • Liferay Global site and child site structure is leveraged to enable content sharing from global site to child site.

  • Portal provides excellent security of data and also provides robust & reliable storage facilities.
  • Admin panel portlets were developed to import product and applications data.
  • Admin Panel configuration were developed to configure social media page links.
  • News List, Product List, Application List, Success Story List features are implemented.
  • News Detail, Product detail, Application detail, Success story detail page are implemented.
  • Social Media sharing feature is implemented so that user can share public pages on social media.
  • Custom workflow is implemented on Job Application post.
  • Contact Us and Job application submission is configured with custom multilevel workflow.
